A few reminders. Regarding our Procedure for Dismissal:
- Pull cars up and avoid gaps between them.
- Leave an adequate space for the "passing lane" in order for cars to exit.
- Don't leave your car unattended if you are in line next to the orange cones. Park in the center if you need to exit your car.
- When crossing between cones after you have your child, please cross over to your car with the assistance of the "8th grade crossing guard."
- Slow down as you drive into the parking lot. Children are not always as cautious as adults are.
- Please be patient with one another.
Some uniforms are in need of a review. Particularly, this pertains to the "jumpers" and their length. (too short.) As the girls grow, the hem of their uniform should be adjusted and repaired as needed.
It's that time of the year when many of the young gentlemen are in need of a haircut. This is across the grades.
Gym uniforms are also in need of a review. The "variety" of the uniforms seems to be growing. If you are in need of a part of these uniforms, we do have spares that have been donated by others. Inquire at the office.
Our next enrichment program will take place on Feb. 27. If you are interested in helping, please let the office know!
The next Parents' Club meeting will be held in the Lower Resource Center on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend!

We are looking forward to a very special day on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7th. This is our annual “Grandparents’ Day” for all grandparents able to be with us. You will find two small envelopes marked “Grandparents’ Day” in today’s packet. These are special invitations for any of the grandparents able to share the morning with us. We would appreciate receiving the response cards no later than Friday, October 31st … if possible. We know that schedules may change at the last minute. We can be flexible
We will begin our morning with an all school Mass at 8:30 AM. We would love having the grandparents join us as we pray together, if this is possible. Following the Mass, the grandparents will be treated to a brunch in the school gym as we continue to celebrate their specialness. Then, they will be invited to visit the classroom/s of their grandchild/ren to have some fun learning right along with them.
It would be so special to have our school further enriched by the presence of wonderful people who have touched lives for many years as both parents and grandparents.
Just a reminder that the Confirmation Candidates and their Parents are expected to attend an informational meeting in the Church on MONDAY, October 27th, from 6:45 until 7:45 PM .
This date was changed as was stated in a recent communiqué you received. Thank you for making this adjustment.
On WEDNESDAY, October 29th, the school children will be expressing their gratitude to Deacon Mike for his years of service to our community. As you all know, Deacon Mike has gifted the children in a multitude of ways for many years. His generosity of heart, presence at a variety of our events, words of encouragement to the teachers and students, etc. has blessed each and everyone of us. We will gather in the gym at 1:30, at which time the children will present Deacon Mike with cards and banners of gratitude … along with a most appropriate surprise!
As you learned last week, we will celebrate RED RIBBON WEEK next week. The students have various activities planned during which we will emphasize the importance of being “drug free” in our school, homes and other surroundings.
